    Water-soaked, translucent spots appear at the leaf margins and along veins, turning brown with a bright yellow halo and often a "V"-shaped dead wedge pointing inward from the edge; in systemic infection leaves yellow, the plant wilts and the stem/vascular tissue browns; a yellow bacterial ooze may show from cut tissue.
