Dr. Phyto

Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains how Dr. Phyto uses cookies. The short version: we use a handful of cookies strictly necessary to run the service, plus — only if you accept them — Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. There are no advertising cookies, and analytics never loads until you opt in.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work at all; others — which we use only with your consent — help us measure how the site is used.

2. The cookies we use

NamePurposeTypeStored for
anon_user_idLinks your session to its diagnosis and care plan, and limits abuse (rate-limiting).Strictly necessaryUp to 1 year
pd_gateRemembers that you entered the site access password.Strictly necessarySession
pd_cookie_consentRemembers your cookie consent choice (which categories you accepted).Strictly necessary1 year
__cf_bmBot and abuse protection, set by our security provider Cloudflare.Strictly necessary~30 minutes
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics — set only after you accept analytics cookies; distinguishes visitors to measure how the site is used.Analytics (consent)Up to 2 years

3. Analytics

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising or to combine your data across other sites. It loads only after you accept analytics cookies in the banner, and never before. We use no advertising or marketing pixels. Our fonts are self-hosted (served from our own servers), so opening a page does not call Google Fonts or any other third party for fonts.

4. Error monitoring

We use Sentry to detect and fix errors so the service stays reliable. It is configured to be cookieless and does not collect your IP address — it records technical error data only.

5. Managing cookies

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always set (they are exempt from consent under the EU ePrivacy rules); analytics cookies are set only if you accept. To change your choice later, clear the pd_cookie_consent cookie in your browser settings and the banner will appear again. You can also clear or block cookies entirely, but the service may not work correctly without the necessary ones.

6. If this ever changes

If we ever introduce additional analytics or any marketing cookies, we will update this policy and obtain your opt-in consent before any such new cookie is set.
